Legal disclaimer.
Why the material on this site is information rather than advice, and what that means if you are relying on it.
Last updated {{ lastUpdated }}. This disclaimer applies to every page of the site, including the notes under Insights.
No legal advice
The pages of this site describe the law in general terms, current at the date each page was written. They are not advice on your matter, and they cannot account for the facts, documents, and dates that decide how the law applies to you.
No lawyer-client relationship
Reading this site, sending the intake form, or emailing the firm does not make you a client. A relationship begins only when we have run a conflict check and confirmed our terms with you in writing.
Until then, treat anything you send us as unprotected. Do not send privileged documents or material you would not want read by someone we already act for.
Accuracy and currency
Nigerian law, practice directions, and registry procedure change. We write carefully, but we do not undertake to update a published note when the position moves, and a note may be out of date by the time you read it.
Outcomes
Nothing on this site is a promise or prediction of result. Any matter described here reflects the facts of that matter alone, and a comparable file may end differently.
Third-party material
Where a page quotes or links to a statute, a decision, a registry page, or another firm’s commentary, that material remains the responsibility of its author. We do not warrant it.
Getting advice
If a page here touches something live on your file, speak to us or to another qualified lawyer before acting on it. The intake form is the fastest route to a partner, and there is no charge for the first exchange.
